| seriously: why marry..... |
The issue of marriage is a topic that
seems to never leave the lips of every young girl. It crowds her mind with
fairytale imaginations especially those of marriageable age (which could start
from 12- upwards, depending on the culture). I mean from birth a girl is indirectly
groomed for her wedding day and her marital life, it’s like nothing else seems
to matter to the female race except marriage. For the ambitious ones money,
success and accomplishment makes sense also but marriage tends to win the chart
race. It’s really beautiful when u think about getting married, it’s like
that’s when life beings and struggle ends … and sad enough that is so not true.
Some ladies look forward to marriage, its
blissful beginnings and memorable experience but not the challenging tumbles
and its confusing and delicate aspects. I mean where’s the light in this our
dark tunnel of self deceit and denial. We should not lose sight of the simple
fact that all that glitters is defiantly not gold. No matter what, we shouldn’t
deny the fact that the school of marital life is for life and even till death
will never be fully discovered.
So then with all the work involved in
getting married, why on earth should anybody want to? I mean its time
consuming, stressful and emotionally draining. If it is for sex, most people are
already doing that before marriage, if it’s for companionship you already have
that in your relationships, or you want to have companionship for life? But
what of the days when it’s like your single again maybe because you and your
spouse are fighting. Does that mean you
will leave the marriage or be depressed? Another reason could be because you
want children, but then what if you don’t get to give birth to any not even
one? Does that mean you married the wrong partner? The list or reasons why a
person would want to get married can go on, and on, without an end but the
simple fact is that none of them is anything compared to the genuine reason why
you should marry.
You marry when you have a peace in your
heart about a person, a conviction…not a reason but a conviction. Your spirit
is not anxious, you’re not scared and you have no doubt in your heart that you
can withstand anything with this person. Not even age can separate your feeling
for each other …marriage is that pure.

Marriage is the celebration of two parties signing a piece of paper. It doesnt guarantee that the love would last forever. Two people who love each other unconditionally can spend their lives together forever and have kids without the process of getting married but after all said.... i still wanna get married one day
